11 Nights in Turkey

Istanbul-Izmir-Pergamon-Ephesus-Pamukkale-Antalya and Cappadocia

Day 1) Istanbul arrival

Arrival to Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Meet and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2) Istanbul

Full day tour of the city visiting the highligts of the city: the Blue Mosque, Turkish Islamic Arts Museum, The Byzantine Hippodrome, St. Sophie and Topkapı Palace. Free time for shopping. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

Day 3) Istanbul

Continue exploring the city visiting The Church of Chora, drive along the city walls and the Golden Horn, visiting the Rustem Pasha Mosque and the Underground Cistern. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Explore the Grand Bazaar in the afternoon.

Day 4) Istanbul- Izmir

Spend the morning in the new section of the city. Visit Istanbul Modern Museum and Dolmabahçe Palace in the morning. Lunch at Nevizade restaurants district. After a walk through Istiklal Street and Pera. Drive to the Airport for a flight to Izmir.Transfer to the hotel after a short drive around the city. Overnight in Izmir.

Day 5) Izmir- Pergamon- Izmir

Drive to Pergamon. Visit the antique Acroplis and the ancient hospital Asclepieon. Lunch at a local restaurant in Bergama. Drive along the seaside road through Focha to Izmir. Overnight.

Day 6) Izmir- Ephesus- Pamukkale

Drive to Ephesus in the morning. Visit the house of the Virgin Mary. Walk through and explore the antique city of Ephesus.Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon drive to Pamukkale.Enjoy the spa of the hotel.

Day 7 ) Pamukkale- Antalya

Visit the ancient Hierapolis, the necropol and the Roman Theatre, enjoy the cotton shaped travertine terraces in the morning lights. Drive to Antalya in the afternoon. Diner and overnight in Antalya.

Day 8) Antalya

Visit antique city of Perge and Aspendos; the best preserved Roman theatre in Anatolia. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Antalya Archeological Museum in the afternoon and have some free time in the old city.Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 9) Antalya – Cappadocia

Drive over the Tourus Mountains to Konya. Visit the Mouseum of whirling dervishes. Continue for Cappadocia visiting a 12th century caravansarai on the way. Diner and overnight at a cave hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 10) Cappadocia

Explore the valley visiting the underground city of Kaymaklı, Pigeon Valley, Pasabag ; The Monk’s Valley, Zelve the deserted village, Göreme Open Air Museum, Urgüp, the vine factories and the rug weavers ateliers. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 11) Cappadocia- Istanbul

Drive to Kayseri airport for the flight to Istanbul.After lunch in Istanbul spend the rest of the afternoon shopping or exploring the way you would like. Overnight at the hotel.
